
Grilled Pizza
Use Flat Bread, Pita, or Pizza rounds homemade or store-bought.
Pesto
Olive Oil
Tomato’s
Basil
Fresh Mozzarella (I make homemade if anyone wants a lesson)
Fresh Parmesan
These are the family faves, you can get creative and add sautéed mushrooms or onions as well. We do not add any meat to these we just let the fresh flavors carry us away to Italy.
Assemble all ingredients, I use homemade pesto, store bought works as well.
Heat the Grill, put bread down on grill and let heat through and get grill marks on it.
Put the pizzas on a pan grilled side UP. Put a layer of pesto on; leave a good sized edge as pesto has oil in it. Top with cheese, tomatoes, more basil, sprinkle with parmesan and a little olive oil.
Place on the grill and watch carefully, just a few minutes till the bottom crisps up and the cheese is all melty and gooey.
Top with a little more fresh basil, and serve!
You can make these in the oven as well, but the grill is the best way to seal in all those flavors!
